Presentation

What makes an artist unique? Is it the absence of speech bubbles? The presence of a myriad details and the meticulous approach to each image? The sequencing of panels and how this affects the reading? Maybe all those things at once. Each original page created by Stanislas Moussé possesses a singularly poetic quality. After Chaos, Longue vie, Le Fils du roi and Mater comes Pleine lune, a new story full of violence and humour where we are introduced to blood-thirsty brigands, vengeful soldiers, a sinister forest, all under a full moon that promises no good. These are the ingredients of Moussé?s new graphic novel, published by Tripode in November 2023, a selection of plates from which will be displayed in this exhibition ? a unique opportunity to linger over each detail of a work executed, using a technical pen and Indian ink, with formidable delicacy and precision.
